Jarkko Elo appointed as Funidata Ltd’s Chief Commercial Officer
Funidata’s Board of Directors has appointed Jarkko Elo as a member of the company’s Management Team and as Chier Commercial Officer.
Funidata's Board of Directors has appointed Master of Arts Jarkko Elo as a member of the company's Management Team and as Chief Commercial Officer as of 1 August 2024. As Chief Commercial Officer, Elo is responsible for Funidata's sales and new customer acquisition. Currently, Elo is responsible for AWS's largest Nordic university and research accounts and sales as part of the Nordic Public Sector team. Prior to his current position, Elo has worked in sales positions at educational technology companies itsLearning and Blackboard, among others, and as Head of Educational Technology at Diaconia University of Applied Sciences

According to CEO Mikko Myllys, the appointment of Elo to the position of Chief Commercial Officer is a response to the key focus area of Funidata's new strategy: "Funidata's new strategy is based on the assumption that our Student Information System Sisu will be actively sold to new customers in Finland and possibly also in Europe in the future, in line with the policy of the owner universities.
